Walked down from my brother-in-law and sister's place on a Wednesday evening and had a couple beers. Beer and prices are good. Stop in for a cold one on a hot Texas day.
Great spot next to the creek. Always a fun time with events going on. Beer is delicious and very affordable! A must if you visit Salado
Local VIIIBBEE! Great beer and selection. Inside and outside seating, which is awesome on a beautiful day overlooking the grassy creek bank. Walking distance from historic downtown Salado main drag and off Royal Street across from Salado glassworks. Location, location, location. Food?? Grab your own from food truck selections; however - minimal and sometimes featured - some odd hours depending on day of week so definitely check ahead. However, Rio Salado is across the street and has pick up that you can grab and bring over! Always there and always good. Plan to spend a couple of hours or more when they have live music 🎶
I made a Quick Stop at Barrow Brewing in Salado This Afternoon just to see Denny Cullinan playing a Set out on the Outdoor Music Stage. It was a great show. I wish I could have stayed longer and checked out all that Barrow Brewing has to Offer. The huge Awning provided a great Shade from the Sun and I loved the extra sized Picnic Benches. The Smells coming from the Food Trucks was Awesome! Salado Creek looked especially cool and inviting! Maybe next time! I'll definitely go back when I have more time to hang out.
We went to their Oktoberfest event. It was so much fun! I had never tried craft beer before, and I was pleasantly surprised! We will be going back very soon!
A beautiful place located next to the Salado Creek. There's a fair amount of craft beers to choose from, and they're all good! My favorite is the local legend, Evil Catfish IPA.
It can get really crowded/busy inside, especially when they're playing live music on the weekends, so keep that in mind. For parking, I've never had an issue since there's a huge lot right across the street.
I highly recommend you and your guests sit outside though. The Salado Creek located right outside is beautiful, there's plenty of outdoor space and seating too. A very good spot to let your kids and furry ones run around. It's a nice place to be when the weather is great. Oh, and there's a separate vendor selling pizza outside in case you start to get hungry. I think the pizza truck is only open on Wednesdays-Sunday though (I would double check).
The people are nice and the area is nice. Definitely a must stop if you're in Salado.
I had a great visit last Sunday afternoon. I’m a beer guy, so that comes first for me. I gave several 4.0 on UnTappd, so a successful visit for me. It’s a pretty place right on the river in Salado with a giant outdoor space. Great servers made it a really nice time. This was only my first visit, but I’ll be back. The beers have a lot of body and flavor even when the ABV isn’t high, which isn’t easy to do. Well done!
Stopped here on the way to Austin. The tasting room was closed until 4pm, but this brewery has an outdoor tasting area, with a covered sitting area. You can also go down some stairs to a picnic like area with some chairs. Lots of space. The beer I tried was solid. Definitely worth a stop if you're in the area and want local beer.
